• Participate in developing and implementing counselling strategies to staff and students in the University. • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to advise and assist students for academic development. • Assist to compile a record of useful information on Guidance and Counselling and make it available to students and staff. • Provide long-term individual support and further social relations between students. • Participate in organizing educational seminars for staff and students in the field of Guidance and Counselling. • Consult with staff and the general student population on their counselling needs. • Participate in the general set up and implementation of the counselling and guidance Centre activities. • Perform any other duties assigned by the Dean of Students.

• Master’s degree in Counselling and Guidance or Counselling Psychology. • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Institution. • Three (3) years of working experience in counselling relevant area in an institution. • Have good interpersonal relations. • Have skills in handling students’ problems and welfare. • Mature person with positive attitude towards people. • Possess high supervision and coordination skills. • Confidentiality, team player and ability to empathize.
