• Lead application development initiatives to the overall IT & Bank digital strategy. • Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality software applications and systems tailored to meet the bank’s needs. This includes both front-end and back-end development as required. • Document system developments in accordance with the application development policy • Integrate new software solutions from vendors with existing systems and applications within the bank’s ecosystem, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. • React quickly to application development-related security incidents to regain customer confidence. • Develop designated software solutions within the Bank to ensure that the software needs are met within the agreed timelines. • Identify and resolve technical issues related to software performance, security, and usability and provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams as needed. • Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides related to software design, development, and maintenance processes and • Develop and generate reports as per user/ business requirements • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operation, security, and project management, to deliver integrated solutions that align with business objectives to install new operation systems and releases • Specify and ensure application controls are incorporated during the software’s design to check risk exposure. • Maintain documentation of key databases and applications linked to them. • Participate and coordinate the Disaster Recovery Plan and testing. • Schedule and run regular tests to enhance the current systems and applications. • Expand knowledge and capabilities to continually add value and progress within the Bank. • Comply with AML/CFT/CPF policies and procedures

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any other related field. • Experience • 2 years of Banking or ICT experience. • A strong understanding of and high regard for web services/ API integrations to facilitate business delivery channels for both bank corporate and retail customers, such as online banking, digital banking solutions, and agency banking services. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or others relevant to banking systems. • Knowledge of T24 core banking is an added advantage. • A good understanding of Cloud infrastructure. • Knowledge of developing applications and interfaces • Experience in working in a fast-paced agile environment. • Competencies & Knowledge • Excellent communication and engagement skills • Strong attention to detail. • High level of integrity. • Creative and innovative thinking. • Analytical skills. • Stakeholder management skills. • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Ability to identify and remedy complex issues. • Fluent in English and any other local language, preferably Luganda.
