Senior Networking Engineer – Uganda

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deploy and manage ISP and enterprise network infrastructure

• Configure routers, switches, and wireless networks
• Support FTTH / GPON / XGS-PON deployments
• Install and troubleshoot Cambium wireless solutions
• Conduct site surveys and wireless optimization
• Monitor network performance and ensure uptime
• Provide onsite technical support and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS
• Experience with OSPF and BGP routing protocols
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Huawei, MikroTik, and Cambium
• Expertise in GPON/XGS-PON and ISP environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/Bachelor’s in IT, Telecom, Electronics, or Computer Science
• CCNA / CCNP / HCIA / HCIP preferred
• Cambium and FTTH certifications are an advantage

EXPERIENCE

• 5-10 years of relevant networking experience
• FTTH and ISP deployment experience required
• Africa/Uganda project experience preferred
