Job Title: Security Supervisor
Reports To: Managing Agent
Location: Sunset Apartments Kiwatule – Condominium Plan No. 0063, Nakawa Division,
Kampala, Uganda.
Key Terms:
a) Permanent Full-Time Post (In-house).
b) Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Purpose of the Role:
To maintain supervisory responsibility for the security of the Sunset Apartments Kiwatule estate,
To assist the Managing Agent in ensuring the estate complies with safety legislation. To ensure the security
and safety of all residents, staff, and property. To supervise the contracted security personnel
under the Dual-Provider Model and oversee the implementation of tech-integrated security
systems (CCTV & GPS Patrols).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Security Supervision
a) Supervise the Operational Security Team (Contracted Guards) for the assigned shift (Day
or Night).
b) Ensure a Daily briefing is delivered to the incoming Security Team.
c) Monitor Contracted Security performance indicators regarding alertness and uniform
standards.
d) Liaison with Contracted Security Operations Managers as required.
e) Supervise accident and incident reporting by the security team.
f) Supervising maintenance of all security logs, access registers, and fire registers.
g) Supervising contractor access management and delivery logistics.
2. Technology & Systems Management
a) Oversee the CCTV Control Room operations; ensure continuous monitoring of feeds by
operators.
b) Verify compliance with the GPS Patrol Monitoring System (Wand System) to ensure all
checkpoints are visited.
c) Supervise the submission of digital incident reports with photo evidence within 1 hour of
occurrence.
d) Ensure the functionality and maintenance of all security hardware (gates & lights).
3. Access Control & Visitor Management
a) Implement & maintain Security Department SOPs regarding gate access.
b) Supervise the verification of resident and visitor identity at main gates and pedestrian
entrances.
c) Oversee the issuance of visitor passes and maintenance of detailed entry/exit logs.
d) Manage traffic flow and parking enforcement within the estate.
4. Training
a) Maintain accurate training records for the department in conjunction with the Managing
Agent.
b) Supervise regular department training on Fire Safety, CCTV Operations, Access Control,
and Emergency Evacuation.
c) Responsible for the induction of new security personnel regarding site-specific risks.
5. Emergency Response
a) Coordinate immediate response to all security emergencies (intrusion, fire, medical).
b) Assist in updating and implementing the estate’s Emergency Response Plan.
c) Supervise the administration of basic First Aid.
6. Police & Authority Liaison
a) Report criminal activities and follow up on incidents as directed by the Management
Board, Managing Agent & Security Committee.
7. Staff Management
a) Supervise attendance, grooming, and conduct of security guards.
b) Oversee the rostering of guards to ensure adequate coverage for the Dual-Provider Model
shifts.
c) Conduct performance reviews of the security team on site.
8. Stakeholder Liaison
a) Act as the primary point of contact for residents regarding security concerns.
b) Liaison with the Managing Agent regarding maintenance of security systems.
9. Other Responsibilities
a) Any other duties as assigned directly by the Management Board and SAK Security
Committee.
Key Performance Indicators
a) Security Team achieves and maintains expected standards of vigilance and
professionalism.
b) Maintain accurate registers as required by the Fire Services Act and safety regulations.
c) 100% compliance with Patrol Monitoring.
d) Digital incident reports are submitted accurately and within the 1-hour deadline.
e) A safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors through supervision.
f) Effective coordination between the Day and Night shift providers.
g) All security personnel are trained and capable of achieving their responsibilities.
Key Skills and Personal Competencies required for the role:
a) Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
b) Must be motivated and able to interact positively with a wide range of people, including
residents and visitors.
c) Must be team focused and capable of leading shifts.
d) Must have knowledge of safety procedures in the Fire & Security sectors.
e) Must possess the presence, stature, and personality to supervise an experienced team.
f) Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in security supervision, preferably in a
residential estate or large complex.
g) Must have or be able to demonstrate working knowledge of CCTV Operations, Access
Control Systems, and Digital Reporting Tools.
h) Must have a professional and flexible approach to the position to meet the changes that
may arise in a busy residential community.
i) Formal training from the Uganda Police Force, UPDF, or a recognized Private Security
Organization is mandatory.

g) Ethics: Ability to demonstrate and maintain the highest professional and ethical
standards, including confidentiality regarding resident privacy.
h) Integrity: Clean criminal record.
