JOB PURPOSE

To guard, patrol or monitor company premises to prevent theft, violence or violation of rules.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly and ensuring that the environment is safe and secure.
Safeguard staff, goods & property of the company at all times.
Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols.
Vigilance & surveillance to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
Record goods/materials entering and leaving the company premises.
Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to the Security Officer.
Responding to emergency alarms and calls of security concerns such as fire, intrusion etc. and informing the relevant authorities
Perform any other tasks assigned by the security supervisor / officer.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Applicant must hold minimum of two (2) principle passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education level (UACE), with at least a credit in English language at UCE level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Ability to work in shifts and stand for long hours.
High Level of Flexibility & Willingness to learn.
Ability to perform any duties assigned.
High level of physical & mental fitness.
Knowledge of Computer &Ability to operate security systems, emergency equipment & CPR or first aid is of added advantage.
