• Conduct classroom instruction accordance to Watoto education standards and the Ministry of Education and Sports. • Evaluate teaching and learning by conducting monthly and termly assessments. • Monitor subject and class academic performance of learners to ensure academic excellence. • Create and maintain a safe, conducive and interactive learning environment for the learners. • Recognise and celebrate outstanding learners in different aspects of school life. • Demonstrate good stewardship of resources and property in the school community by ensuring the safe custody and optimum use of equipment assigned • Motivate and engage learners in at least one vocational skill, as well as ensure that learners’ active participation in skilling activities is consistent. • Monitor and report the performance of learners in vocational skills. • Assess and evaluate a real-life project presented by learners. • Conduct effective leadership sessions with the learners in small groups. • Lead one-on-one mentorship sessions and guidance by being present and available in the lives of learners. • Conduct real-life projects to provide real-life learning experiences to learners

• The applicant for the role should hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. • At least three (3) years of experience in teaching. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. High degree of flexibility and initiative. • Commitment to work within a team environment and ability to work under minimal supervision. • Pedagogical skills, creative and Innovative Skills. • Knowledge of computer skills in word, excel and PowerPoint.
