COMPANY OVERVIEW

Cefla Ghee Uganda is a growing Ugandan brand committed to delivering quality ghee while expanding its presence across supermarkets, retail outlets, wholesalers, restaurants, and other distribution channels.

We are looking for a Sales & Distribution Officer who is energetic, self-motivated, customer-focused, and passionate about taking Cefla Ghee to more customers across Kampala and beyond.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Sales & Distribution Officer will support the growth of Cefla Ghee by identifying new customers, expanding our distribution network, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, monitoring product availability and visibility, and actively promoting the brand in the market.

The ideal candidate should be willing to work in the field, learn quickly, ride a motorcycle/bike, and promote Cefla Ghee wholeheartedly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, approach, and onboard new supermarkets, retail shops, wholesale shops, restaurants, and other potential customers.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular visits and follow-ups.
  Regularly visit supermarkets and retail outlets to monitor Cefla Ghee stock levels, product visibility, shelf/stall placement, and sales performance.
• Follow up on stock replenishment and ensure products remain available at customer outlets.
• Identify opportunities to get more supermarkets and retail outlets onboard.
• Actively promote Cefla Ghee and communicate its product benefits to customers and potential buyers.
  Support sales growth by meeting agreed sales and distribution targets.
• Monitor market activity, customer feedback, competitor activity, and pricing, and report relevant findings to the Marketing Manager.
• Maintain an updated database of customers, prospects, orders, and market visits.
• Support product activations, promotions, exhibitions, and other marketing activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular visits and follow-ups.
  Regularly visit supermarkets and retail outlets to monitor Cefla Ghee stock levels, product visibility, shelf/stall placement, and sales performance.
• Man and represent the Cefla Ghee brand at exhibitions and promotional events.
• Prepare regular field visit, sales, distribution, and customer reports.
• Carry out any other sales and distribution duties assigned by the Marketing Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
– Entry-level experience in sales, marketing, distribution, or a related field; FMCG experience is an added advantage.
– Must be able and willing to ride a motorcycle/bike. A valid riding permit/licence is an added advantage.
– Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
– Strong interest in sales, customer service, and business development.
– Must be passionate and willing to promote Cefla Ghee wholeheartedly.
– Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to approach and build relationships with new and existing customers.
– Self-motivated, energetic, confident, and comfortable working in the field.
– Ability to work independently and achieve set sales and distribution targets.
– Good knowledge of Kampala’s supermarkets, retail outlets, wholesale shops, and other potential sales points is an advantage.
– Well-groomed and able to represent the Cefla Ghee brand professionally.
– Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively in local languages.
– Willing to work flexible hours during promotions, activations, exhibitions, and other brand activities.
