Gridworks is a development and investment platform founded and wholly owned by British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution and impact investor. Gridworks is developing the Amari Power Transmission project, which consists of the upgrade of five substations in Uganda: Tororo, Mirama, Mbarara South and North, and Nkenda. The construction phase of the project is expected to start in Q1 2025 for a duration of 36 months. The Resident Engineer will ensure the construction of the transmission line and substations meets the specified technical standards and quality. He/she will monitor and coordinate daily project activities to maintain project schedules. The Resident Engineer will provide technical guidance and support to the construction team. He/she will coordinate activities and provide liaison between the various in-country stakeholders and Gridworks. The Resident Engineer will report in a Matrix Structure to the Project Director and the Technical Director, and in-country to the Country Director.
