KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Infectious Disease Institute is hiring a Project Officer – Medical Countermeasures (MCM) to support the implementation of activities related to the development, deployment, and monitoring of medical countermeasures in Uganda. Working closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH), development partners, and other stakeholders, the Project Officer will assist in coordinating project activities, supporting regulatory and pharmacovigilance processes, and ensuring effective documentation and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. A Master’s degree (Advanced Biomedical Science or implementational Science degree) is an added advantage. • Person Specification • Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. A Master’s degree (Advanced Biomedical Science or implementational Science degree) is an added advantage. • At least 3 years of experience in public health program implementation, preferably in emergency preparedness response or EPI or clinical trial coordination or pharmaceutical regulation. • Familiarity with Uganda’s health system, MoH structures, and regulatory environment. • Experience working with international donors and development partners is desirable. • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools. • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Commitment to public health and emergency response
