• Food Preparation: • Chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients. • Preparing sauces, soups, and other food items according to recipes and portion control guidelines. • Cooking and Baking: • Operating kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, grills, fryers, etc.) to cook food efficiently and safely. • Monitoring food cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper preparation. • Quality Control: • Ensuring the food produced meets the quality standards set by the kitchen or establishment. • Checking food for taste, texture, and appearance. • Portion Control: • Preparing and portioning food to meet required servings and minimize waste. • Ensuring consistent serving sizes. • Inventory Management: • Assisting in monitoring food stock and supplies. • Notifying supervisors about low stock or ordering needs. • Cleaning and Sanitizing: • Keeping the kitchen and workstations clean and organized. • Following hygiene and safety standards to prevent contamination. • Following Recipes and Menus: • Preparing dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications. • Adjusting recipes based on volume and specific dietary requirements. • Collaboration and Teamwork: • Working alongside other kitchen staff, including chefs, assistants, and dishwashers. • Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. • Adhering to Safety Regulations: • Ensuring all food handling, cooking, and storage practices meet safety and health guidelines. • Using tools and equipment in a safe manner to prevent accidents or injuries. • Time Management: • Managing time effectively to meet service deadlines. • Ensuring food is cooked and ready for service at the right time.

• O’level or its equivalent. • Valid National ID • Catering or a certificate in hotel management is an added advantage. • Job location – Nakawuka
