• Cost Control & Service Delivery • Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs. • Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the company. • Identify and research potential new suppliers. • Identify, agree, and deliver annual measurable cost reductions in schemes from procurement activity to assist the company in meeting its overall objectives and targets through the Balanced Scorecard. • Inventory Management • Monitor business trends and product availability to ensure the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times. • Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services, and maintaining stock levels. • Documentation • Oversee the purchasing team section. • Coordinate purchase requisitions (PRs) and quotations, and prepare purchase orders. • Ensure goods are delivered promptly with proper documentation. • Update relevant logbooks for local imports and NDA proformas. • Deputizing • In the absence of the Head of Supply Chain, handle the section’s responsibilities. • Authorities • Initiate purchase orders (POs) for approved materials/services. • Recommend vendors based on price, quality, compliance, and reliability. • Ensure vendors meet regulatory and internal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices [GMP], Good Distribution Practices [GDP]).
