Job Summary: Are you a procurement professional who knows how to secure the right quality, at the right cost and at the right time?
Uganda Batteries Limited (UBL), an indigenous battery manufacturer in Uganda is looking for an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and ensure the business has the materials, products and services it needs to operate efficiently and grow.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement and procurement planning.
• Manage supplier sourcing, evaluation and negotiations.
• Drive cost optimisation, quality and supplier performance.
• Oversee inventory requirements, imports and logistics coordination. Ensure procurement compliance and timely reporting.
• Partner with Production, Finance and Operations to support business continuity.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• CIPS Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply or equivalent.
• 6+ years’ relevant experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management and cost-management skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
