KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement emergency nutrition responses, including OTC and ITC, adhering to protocols. • Promote Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) and Baby-Friendly Community Initiatives (BFCI). • Build capacity through mentorship and refresher training for nutrition staff, Health workers and VHTs. • Deliver health and nutrition education at community and facility levels. • Monitor nutrition supply requisition, storage, and consumption at field level. • Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nutrition mass screening exercises for under-fives • Provide nutrition counseling, including for chronic medical conditions. • Compile and submit weekly, biweekly, monthly and quarterly reports for donors and IRC programs. • Supervision of direct reports, including conducting Performance Management Evaluation (PME).

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution. • Must be registered with respective professional body. • Minimum of 3 years direct experience implementing nutrition, food security, or related programming with a humanitarian or development agency. • Experience of maternal infant and young child nutrition with strong BFHI/BFCI approaches • Proven analytical, planning, communication/ negotiation skills and ability to think strategically • Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills • Ability to work in hardship areas (previous experience in a settlement/camp setting) will be an added advantage • Flexible and positive personality • Knowledge of nutrition protocols, including SPHERE standards, WHO protocols, and MoH Nutrition Protocols • Experience in community health education and mobilization practices and standards required.
