Job Title: NATIONAL CONTENT & SOCIAL OFFICER

Reports to: NATIONAL CONTENT&SOCIAL LEAD

CEMENTERS UGANDA LIMITED invites applications from suitable qualified persons for its construction activities under the scope EPSCC-Permanent Buildings on the Tilenga project.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure national content is cascaded down the supply chain by suppliers through follow-up and advising on execution of activities and enhance national content with in the supply chain. (such as guidance notes, tools and templates)
Ensure timely submission of national content reports to the contractor and by the liaison officer
Review, advise, improve and validate submission of accurate reports by the social team.
Assist in the design and implementation of internal and external national content program activities especially capacity building activities knowledge in handling social matters and community engagements
Record, assess and investigate staff social issues as they may arise and ensure full end to end closure.
Stakeholder engagement; attending all meetings where need be in the project vicinities as a stakeholder requirement by the contractor

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum education: Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences, or Social Work and Social Administration or Human Rights and Conflict Resolution in Africa or Public Administration
Proven knowledge of using Micro software packages i.e excel, outlook, PowerPoint, word-(MUST)
Good knowledge and understanding of procurement and contracting especially in Oil&Gas

SKILLS

Strong knowledge of workplace relations.
Accustomed to working in fast moving and changing environment.
Culturally aware and adapt at working across multiple geographies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills.
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, internally and externally.
Work with minimum supervision

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 or 3 years of work experience in a reputable organization preferably NGO
