KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor molten steel flow and ensure that the mold is correctly aligned before starting the pouring process.
• Setting up and operating the CCM to produce steel billets according to specifications.
• Manage the pouring of the molten steel into the mold at a controlled rate and regulate the cooling system for proper solidification of the steel.
• Monitoring the casting process, serving the continuous operation of the machine, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality and prevent malfunctions.
• Control cooling zones to achieve the desired cooling rate.
• Manage operation of the assigned machine and ensure they are well maintained by setting up and operating the equipment to produce orders within specification.
• Perform periodic inspections for internal and surface defects such as cracks or porosity depending on prior communication from the in-charge.
• Monitor the working of the machines and work to provide finished materials according to specifications required.
• Report the need for improvement or defect on the machine to the in-charge or Plant Manager.
• Maintain a report of the total amount of billets manufactured in a day and other reports.
• Any other duties assigned.
• Must wear PPE and adhere to all safety rules.

• Environmental & Safety Responsibilities and Ethics:
• Ensure cleanliness around your work area.
• Enforce PPE usage by employees in the plant at all times.
• Guidance and on-the-job training of workers, especially new ones, in good environmental maintenance and safer working procedures in order to reduce occupational accidents.
• Assist management to identify resources required to improve EHS in the company.
• Ensure good housekeeping in the plant, i.e., immediate cleaning of coolants and oil spillages, emptying of waste bins, shift of scrap from respective workplace.
• Ensure proper use of waste bins and their availability at the designated respective locations in your section.
• Assist in taking corrective actions for any EHS deficiencies identified during audits or day-to-day observations.
• Facilitate security of company staff and property.
• Encourage teamwork for the purpose of a smooth and prosperous management.
• Help create a culture and atmosphere of hard work and high personal integrity.
• Safeguard the company’s systems and Terms and Conditions of employment.

• Fulfill compliance obligation to international standards for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health & Safety as established by STIL in its Integrated Management System Framework.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Degree, Diploma, or Craft III certificate in engineering with in-depth technical knowledge of the specific machine
• Experience: 2+ years
