• Receive patients, register admissions, discharges, and deaths. • Provide care during labour with emphasis on keeping proper records, use of drugs, and prevention of complications to mother and baby. • Provide care during puerperium with emphasis on prevention of infection. • Sensitize mothers about benefits of breastfeeding and recommended diet. • Participate in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team. • Carry out Ante-natal care. • Maintain a clean and healthy environment for the patients. • Participate in Doctors/Clinical officers ward rounds. • Observe and compile daily ward reports for the attention of the relevant authorities. • Manage the stores function at the medical centre.

• A certificate in midwifery. • Should possess a certificate of registration as an enrolled Midwife from the Uganda Nurses and Midwifery Council. • At least three years’ experience working at a health facility. • Interpersonal, communication, analytical, and people management skills.
