WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents
• Manage litigation, disputes and alternative dispute resolution
• Supervise and develop the legal team
• Support Board and corporate governance activities
• Liaise with government agencies, regulators and external counsel
• Identify legal risks and advise on mitigation strategies
• Ensure statutory filings and regulatory approvals are up to date

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• LLB Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice
• Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with valid Practicing Certificate 5-8 years’ post-enrollment experience (2-3 years in supervisory role)
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan laws and regulatory frameworks Experience in corporate law, contracts, litigation & compliance
• Excellent communication, analytical and leadership skills
• Fluent in English (spoken & written)
• Valid driving permit and willingness to travel
