• The Physics Laboratory Technician’s overall duty is to provide technical support to the teacher in charge of science, contributing to students’ learning experience by assisting with the preparation of materials and apparatus for practical work, innovative and should be familiar with the handling of chemicals and scientific equipment.

• A Degree/Diploma in Laboratory Science Technology, (Physics) • At least three years of experience with a government Institution/ school. • A working knowledge of the International Secondary Curricula in IGCSE & IBDP programs is an added advantage • The Skills • Should have the ability to learn specific, practical techniques and apply this knowledge to solve technical problems • Should have good hand-eye coordination, to use technical equipment with accuracy • Should have ability to maintain and calibrate technical equipment • Should have time management skills to work on several different projects at once • Flexibility in order to work with and provide support for a number of people • Should have excellent oral communication skills in order to work effectively with colleagues from all parts of the organization and to explain complex techniques to interested parties • Must have an experience in providing demonstrations and writing technical reports • Should have teamwork skills, patient and pays attention to detail.
