Uganda, part of the Wananchi Group, is looking for a skilled IP / Network Engineer to join our technical team in Kampala.
This role is ideal for a network professional with strong experience in ISP environments, IP/MPLS networks, and advanced routing technologies, who is eager to work in a dynamic telecommunications environment.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an ISP or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP
- Experience with switching technologies: VLANs, VTP, STP, MPLS
- Expertise in VPN technologies: GRE, IPSEC, MPLS, EVPN Knowledge of network security (Firewalls, ACLs, SSH, SSL)
- Experience with QoS implementation
- Understanding of VolP technologies (SIP, G./29, G./11)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cacti, Smokeping, RANCID
- Experience with Linux / Microsoft operating systems Knowledge of transmission technologies such as OTN, DWDM, and SDH
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Telecommunications
- Certifications such as CCNP Service Provider, JNCIP-SP, JNCIS-SP, HCIP/E are an added advantage CompTIA Linux+ or At is a plus
