PAU/OED/011/601-GT: INTERNAL AUDITOR – TECHNICAL (GRADUATE TRAINEE)
2.1 Job Summary
This job exists to perform technical and operational audits identifying inadequate,
inefficient, or ineffective internal controls, issues of noncompliance, and
recommending improvements.
2.2 Key Duties and Responsibilities
i) Assist in examining the correctness of records and completeness of
documentation.
ii) Aid in the preparation of audit working papers and documentation, as well as
follow-up of recommendations from previous technical audits.
iii) Draft and compile technical audit programmes, findings, and conclusions.
iv) Examine and analyse records, reports, operating practices, and documentation,
recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.
v) Assist in the assessment of compliance with regulations and controls during the
execution of the audit programme for technical engagements.
vi) Participate in relevant technical statutory, preparatory meetings and workshops
to facilitate/inform future audits.
vii) Undertake any other assignments as may be directed from time to time.
2.3 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
2.3.1 Basic Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Physical
Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Geoscience or Petroleum
Engineering obtained from an internationally recognised University, with a
minimum achievement of Second Class – Upper Division.
2.3.2 Experience
Applicants must have completed university degree programmes for a period not
exceeding three (3) years from the date of graduation.
2.3.3 Character & Competencies
