• Plan, budget for the HR department • Write, update or revise (as needed) policies related HR matters • Disseminate HR related policies to all staff by organizing in school workshops and trainings as required • Developing HR strategies in line with the overall strategic direction of the school • Manage attendance, leave applications warning letters • Manage the recruitment and selection process including drafting job adverts, referring qualified candidates to the relevant HODs, issuing contracts and onboarding and induction • Handle disciplinary and grievance issues among school staff alongside relevant HoDs • Oversee the performance management process for staff and ensuring all staff have been appraised and relevant steps taken to ensure that targets are being met • Manage staff welfare including benefits like medical insurance, Workman’s compensation, Health and Safety and ensuring a positive work environment for all staff • Ensure staff files are maintained and updated • Assist expatriate staff in obtaining and extending work permits

• Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Organisational Psychology Or related • Masters Degree in Human Resource Management or related is an added advantage • 5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management • Experience in an International School is an added advantage
