• Assist in preparing basic electrical distribution designs and layouts for substations, transformers, and power lines. • Participate in creating technical specifications and simple diagrams using AutoCAD or similar tools. • Support basic load flow, voltage drop, and transformer sizing calculations under supervision. • Gain exposure to design tools such as ETAP or PSS/E through supervised use or training sessions. • Collaborate with the design and planning teams to understand project requirements. • Attend site visits or project meetings to observe how designs align with practical implementation. • Study applicable industry standards, codes, and company policies related to electrical system design. • Apply safety considerations and regulatory knowledge when assisting in designs. • Assist in maintaining design files, preparing draft reports, and organizing technical documentation. • Help prepare presentation materials or summaries for internal project updates. • Observe and assist in preparing preliminary cost estimates and resource planning for design activities. • Learn about budgeting and the financial considerations of design work. • Support in identifying basic design challenges and brainstorming possible solutions under the guidance of a senior engineer. • Observe how design changes affect project outcomes and learn how to adjust accordingly. • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including planning, operations, and external contractors. • Communicate design updates and seek feedback for improvement. • Expected Output • Drafted and supported design documents, drawings, and reports. • Participation in design meetings and project discussions. • Organized and updated technical documentation. • Improved technical skills and understanding of electrical design principles. • Demonstrated learning and application of engineering standards and software.
