• Financial transactions and reconciliations are processed in line with relevant policies and procedures. • Assist newly arriving or departing international staff members on opening/closing bank account; process their entitlement upon assignment. • Coordinate with all Finance colleagues in the AoR and take meeting minutes. • Liaise with other functional units who work closely with Finance Unit on relevant issues as assigned by the supervisor. • If applicable, may be required to assist in the preparation of the VAT refund submissions and monitoring of the reimbursable amounts. • Maintain efficient and timely archiving system of physical and electronic files to ensure that all documents are accounted for. • Help prepare documentation and data for internal and external audits. • Verify that the financial transactions are correct and in accordance with UNHCR rules and procedures. • Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department. • Perform other related duties as required.

• Minimum qualifications required: In order to be considered for an internship, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria: • Be either a recent graduate (having completed their studies within two years of applying) or a current student in a graduate/undergraduate school programme from a university or higher education facility accredited by IAU/UNESCO; and • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to the work of UNHCR. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel • Eligibility: In order to be considered for an internship, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria: • Recent graduate (those persons who completed their studies within one year of applying) or current student in a graduate/undergraduate school programme from a university or higher education facility accredited by UNESCO; and • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to the work of the Organization. • Have professional certificates and or License on Finance, Business Administration, accounting An individual whose father, mother, son, daughter, brother or sister is a staff member of UNHCR, including a Temporary Appointment holder or a member of the Affiliate Workforce, is not eligible for an internship. • Experience in working with refugees/IDPs, or with finance/admin or achieving activities is desirable. • Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and interpersonal skill
