Job Title: Finance and Operations Assistant
Reports to: Finance and Administration Officer
Location: Kampala and Mukono
Time Frame: 1 year contract with possibility for extension
At this point of organizational expansion, we are looking for a highly organized and adaptable assistant, who can support both Finance and Operations staff in their day to day work, working effectively as part of a high-performing and diverse team.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance and Administration:
- Provide general financial support to EKiBBO’s Finance and Administration officer
- Post daily sales and purchases into the Odoo accounting system
- Review and ensure all accompanying documents are attached to accountability forms and that these are stamped once signed.
- Support audit missions specifically in preparation and providing relevant supporting documentation during external audits.
- Assist in procurement processes, obtaining quotes, organizing bid committees and ensuring accompanying documentation is in place.
- General office support, including ensuring stationary and office supplies are in order
- Any other duties assigned by the Finance team
Operations support:
Support the Operations Manager with taking daily records of produce purchase.
- Support the Operations manager in reviewing and organizing all accountability forms submitted by extension staff.
- Support in identifying the most efficient logistics processes for the collection and delivery of produce.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• A diploma or bachelors degree in accounting and finance, Business Administration or any relevant course
Skills and competencies
• Skilled and experienced in the use of MS word and excel
- Experience in using finance and accounting systems
- Good team player with good interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and can manage tight schedules

About The Employer
EKiBBO Farming Services is a social business, incorporated in June 2023, with the aim of supporting farmers to develop multi-crop, agroforestry businesses. Working in Mukono and Buikwe Districts. We have 1500 registered smallholder farmers, with a plan of growing to a minimum of 3000 farmers by end of 2027. Our business model is to link farmers to a range of services – guaranteed markets, logistics support, training on improving production and agroforestry models (with a focus on organic farming methods), farm inputs, loans, carbon credit schemes, and we take a small fee for the linkages made. While coffee is the primary value chain, our model is to support farmers to grow a wider variety of crops and tree products, such as jackfruit, vanilla, cocoa and bamboo, that help the coffee trees to be more productive, while also providing additional income to the farmer and wider environmental benefits. One of our areas of value add is using a digital platform on which we upload all the data provided by the farmer, allowing for full traceability and impact monitoring.
