The role includes strong business decision making, and operations management of the daily farm activities.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generation of short term and long-term activity plans
• Supervision of farm labour resources
• Generation of weekly and monthly farm reports
• Managing farm inventory and stocks
• Maximising farm productivity and profitability
• Crop and livestock best practices
• Management of a ledger for farm expenses and income.
• Management of the operation and maintenance of farm equipment

• The scope of work includes, management of existing operations, crops, livestock, staffing and financial documents and recommending improvements.
• Preparing weekly and monthly plans including budgets to support the operations. Scheduling for planting, weed control, pruning,
• harvesting and stocking. And overseeing multiple farm operations.
• Remuneration is negotiable.
• Candidate must be willing to stay at the farmhouse provided.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• A Diploma in agriculture or related field with at least 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
• A higher diploma or degree will be an added advantage. Must have full understanding of crop production cycles and sustainable agriculture practices.
• Computer knowledge particularly
• proficiency in MS Word and Excel is a must.
