• Assembly & Maintenance • Autonomously assemble and wire battery swap cabinets and PDUs and related charging equipment at Zembo HQ. • Interpret and implement wiring diagrams to ensure precise connections and component integration. • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs in the technical workshop. • Conduct in-house functional tests of assembled systems before deployment. • Enforce strict safety protocols while handling high-voltage components and batteries. • Quality Control • Perform end-of-line validation checks on cabinets and electrical subsystems. • Identify and document any technical anomalies or wiring defects. • Support continuous improvement of assembly procedures based on field and lab findings. • Technical Monitoring & Documentation • Read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals. • Contribute to the technical documentation (wiring layouts, troubleshooting forms, inspection reports). • Key Details • Location: Zembo HQ, Ntinda – Kampala, Uganda • Contract: Full-time, with availability for evening and weekend support in case of technical emergencies. • Sector: Electric Mobility / Maintenance / Assembly & Quality Control. • Travel: 10% • Start date: ASAP

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (UBTEB / UNEB / Technical Institute) in Electrotechnics, Industrial Automation. • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly, troubleshooting, and automation within industrial environments. • Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, wiring standards, and diagnostic tools (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.). • Comfortable reading and applying electrical schematics, layouts, and system diagrams. • Good command of technical English (reading and writing essential for manuals and safety procedures). • Experience in the e-mobility or solar energy field is an added advantage. • Why Zembo • At Zembo, we are redefining 2-wheel mobility commerce in Africa with a mission-driven, client-focused and technology-powered approach.
