• Deliver cost-effective ground handling services (passenger check-in, airport experience, baggage handling, and ramp handling). • Promote an “On-Time Performance” (OTP) culture, engaging stakeholders to achieve the highest performance standards. • Organize and structure the station to meet current and future needs of Uganda Airlines. • Implement plans to enhance the safety and security of airport operations. • Monitor and interpret safety standards, regulations, and security awareness. • Identify and report hazards, near misses, incidents, and accidents, maintaining a station risk register. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly station reports on ground handling activities. • Develop a high-performance team capable of achieving results with minimal supervision. • File flight plans as needed to ensure compliance with legal and company safety requirements. • Train and develop airport staff to align with Uganda Airlines’ strategic and business objectives. • Ensure a healthy, safe, and secure working environment compliant with legislative and industry requirements. • Provide necessary resources and ensure operations comply with regulatory, organizational, and IATA/ICAO standards. • Report and address airport operations non-compliances (audit findings), identifying and resolving root causes within stipulated timelines. • Represent Uganda Airlines at the Airport Operators Committee (AOC) and provide updates to the business. • Establish and manage high-level client contacts to enhance the airline’s image and maintain a competitive edge.

• Degree in Business Administration or a related field. • IATA Diploma or equivalent airline/aviation training courses is an added advantage. • At least 3 years at a managerial level with a reputable airline or ground handling company, including 2 years managing a recognized airline hub in a similar role. • Load Control Training. • IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Category 6 is an added advantage. • ICAO Safety Management Systems (SMS) training. • Aviation Safety and Security (AVSEC) Training. • Airside Safety and Ramp Supervision Training. • Required Skills and Attributes: • Excellent management and communication skills. • Strong business management and revenue maximization skills. • Impeccable integrity and diligence.
