KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collect, process, and analyse large datasets to generate actionable insights.
• Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical tools to address organizational challenges.
• Design and build data pipelines for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Apply machine learning techniques to detect patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
• Collaborate with departments to identify data requirements and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
• Visualize data findings through dashboards, charts, and presentations to facilitate decision-making.
• Conduct predictive and prescriptive analyses to support strategic planning and risk mitigation.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with established standards.
• Contribute to the development of policies and strategies for leveraging data within the Authority.
• Prepare and submit reports on data science initiatives and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional certification in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
• No experience required
• Competencies
• Knowledge and understanding of the Authority’s vision, mission, and objectives.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib).
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets accurately.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to solve data-related challenges.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and ethical standards.
