JOB PURPOSE
The Career Guidance Coordinator supports children and youth under the Education and Scholarship Programs in
understanding their strengths, interests, and potential career paths. Through mentorship and practical guidance,
the role helps them make informed decisions about their education and future careers, with a strong focus on
skills development and personal growth.
The Career Guidance Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that students have access to relevant
information, mentorship, and practical opportunities that align with their strengths and aspirations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Career Exploration & Counseling
• Conduct one-on-one and group career counseling sessions with students.
• Assess students’ academic performance, strengths, interests, and aptitudes to recommend suitable
career paths and courses.
• Guide students on education and training opportunities aligned with their career goals.
2. Educational Pathway Planning
• Help students in selecting appropriate courses, programs, or universities that align with their career
aspirations.
• Monitor students’ academic performance and provide ongoing advice to help them stay on track.
• Connect students with relevant internships, mentorship programs, and career exposure opportunities
whenever necessary.
3. Mentorship & Skills Development
• Facilitate workshops and sessions on career readiness skills, such as goal-setting, time management,
and decision-making.
• Identify and collaborate with external career experts or mentors to enhance students’ learning and
exposure.
• Encourage students to develop personal action plans for academic and career growth.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with schools, training centers, and universities to provide up-to-date career information.
• Engage parents/guardians in career planning discussions to support informed decision-making.

5. Program Monitoring & Reporting
• Maintain detailed records of student guidance sessions, progress, and outcomes.
• Track program effectiveness and provide periodic reports with recommendations for improvements.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in youth development programs, education, and training programs.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Empathetic and approachable.
• Proficient in the Microsoft suite.
• Passionate about youth development.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
