The China Gezhbouha Group Company Limited is starting on the Matanda Dam Project in Kanungu district and is looking for the following experienced workers;

• Senior Engineering Geologist

– Bachelors Degree in Geology/Geophysics/Geotechnics/Civil Engineering/Minning Engineering and Masters Degree in Engineering Geology or Geotechnics.
– Completed at least one gravity/concrete dam construction project as Engineering Geologist in the past 10 years

– 15 years of general professional experience

• Senior Structural Engineer

– Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and Masters degree in Structural Engineering.
– Completed at least one gravity/concrete dam construction project as a structural Engineer in the past 10 years

– 15 years of general professional experience

• Materials Engineer

– Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
– Completed at least one concrete or embankment dam construction project as either Materials Engineer or Geotechnical Engineer in the past 10 years.
– Five years’ full time Experience in material testing, geotechnical/field procedures, soil sampling.

– 10 years of general professional experience

• Land Surveyor

– Bachelors Degree in Land Surveying.
– Completed at least one dam construction project as Land Surveyor in the past 10 years.

– 10 years of general professional experience

• Environmental Officer

– Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Occupational Health, or related discipline
– Has been an Environmental Safeguards specialist/Officer on project(s) financed by Multilateral Development Banks/International Financial Institutions

– 10 years of general professional experience

• Health and Safety (HSS) Officer

– Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related discipline
– Has been a Health and Safety specialist/officer on projects financed by International Financial Institutions of similar nature and scope in the last 8 years in sub-Saharan Africa.
– Health and Safety Certificate from a recognized institution e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA etc

– 10 years of general professional experience

• Sociologist

– Bachelors Degree in Sociology or Social Sciences
– Has been a Social Safeguards specialist/ officer on a externally financed dam or irrigation Project in the last 10years in sub-Saharan Africa

– 10 years of general professional experience

• Materials/Laboratory Technician (2 Positions)

– Bachelors Degree in Civil/Building Engineering
– Two years’ full time Experience in material testing, geotechnical/field procedures, soil sampling.

– 5 years of general professional experience

• AutoCAD Draftsman

– Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture

– 5 years of general professional experience
