MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT/ MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Chief clinical & administrative officer| Reports to Hospital Board
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead all clinical operations, quality assurance, and patient safety across the hospital
• Set and enforce clinical protocols for matemal, neonatal, and child health services
• Supervise and mentor the clinical team; chair clinical governance committees
• Represent the hospital with MoH. DHO, and the Sonic
Healthcare Foundation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• MBChB+ postgraduate qualification in Obs/Gynae, MPH (MCH), or Healthcare Management
• Current UMDPC registration & practising license
• EmONC training (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
• Fluency in English & Luo required
Experience: Min. 7 yrs in Obs/Gyn with a min. 3 yrs in a clinical leadership role.
MATRON / SENIOR NURSING OFFICER
Chief nursing officer | Reports to Medical Director
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead all nursing and midwifery operations across maternity, NICU, theatre, and OPD
• Set and uphold nursing standards, IPC protocols, and patient safety practices
• Recruit, orientate, and manage the nursing team; develop staff skills and culture
• Drive nursing quality improvement and monitor maternal and neonatal outcomes
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• BSc Nursing/Midwifery; postgraduate qualification highly desirable
• Current UNMC registration & practising licence
• EmONC & NRP certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
• English & Luo required
Experience: Min. 8yrs nursing/midwifery with min. 3 yrs in a supervisory nursing role.
FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Key financial & administrative officer | Reports to Medical Director
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strengthen and manage all financial systems, controls, and reporting for the hospital
• Lead annual budgeting, cash flow management, and donor financial reporting
• Oversee procurement, HR administration, payroll, and statutory compliance (PAYE, NSSF)
• Provide finaricial analysis and advisory support to the Medical Director and Board
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s in Finance with a major in Accounting (mandatory)
• CPA (Uganda) or ACCA – highly desirable
• Current practising certificate
• Advanced Excel; experience with QuickBooks or similar
• English required; Luo desirable
Experience: Min. 7 yrs progressive finance experience with min. 3yrs in a senior finance role.
SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Full-cycle HR management | Reports to Medical Director
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage end-to-end recruitment of all clinical and non-clinical hospital staff
• Establish performance management, onboarding, and staff development systems
• Ensure full compliance with Uganda Employment Act 2006, NSSF, and labour law
• Foster a positive workplace culture and support staff welfare and relations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s in HRM or Business Administration
• Postgraduate HR qualification or professional certification desirable
• Strong knowledge of Uganda Employment Act 2006
• English required; Luo highly desirable
Experience: Min. 5 yrs HR experience with a min. 2 yrs managing the full HR cycle.
