KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• · Conduct ultrasound scans for patients as requested by clinicians, and legal referrals from other health facilities. • · Provide timely and well analysed interpretations for ultrasound scan results, with informed recommendations. • · Ensure safe patient handling and movement within ROTOM premises. • · Educate patients and caregivers about the outcome and prognosis of the scans produced. • · Support management team to develop work plans, proposals and coordinate health activities for the development of the health centre. • · Provide weekly work station reports to the manager. • · Ensuring patient safety during imaging procedures. This involves explaining procedures to patients, shielding vulnerable areas, monitoring patients during examinations, and maintaining a safe environment. • · Maintaining accurate patient records is an essential part of a radiographer’s role. This includes documenting patient information, imaging parameters, and any relevant observations.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Essential skills and qualification • · Diploma in Medical Imaging or Sonography with at least two years of experience in employment and ultrasonography practice. • · Must hold a valid Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) practicing licence. • · Basic computer skills and good experience with the use of computerised healthcare management system. • Critical thinking skills to evaluate images, identify potential issues, and make adjustments to imaging parameters or patient positioning as needed. • a) Desirable skills • · Knowledgeable with skills of evidence-based practice in contemporary radiology and the multidisciplinary healthcare modal. • · Demonstrable skills in frailty and care for the elderly patient. • · Technical problem-solving ability with keen attention to the health needs facing elderly persons. • b) Personal attributes • · Aged between 20 to 45 years. • · Demonstrates competence in team work, and good time management. • · Adherence to professional codes of conduct, demonstrating respect, empathy, and integrity in their interactions with patients and colleagues. • · They also strive for continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
