• Liaise with unit in-charges of several service delivery points to ensure completeness of data on patient files and registers (ANC, Maternity, Postnatal, Exposed Infant Register, HCT register, Laboratory registers, Nutrition, TB registers, Pre-ART and ART registers, OPD & IPD Registers, Child Register). • Work with different health unit departments to ensure timely, accurate, complete and valid data is generated from registers and submitted to MoH and PEPFAR systems by verifying all data before submission. • Analyze monthly summary statistics for key program indicators and compile reports to inform the QI team at the health facility. • Manage and maintain electronic data systems including EMR and DHIS2, ensuring they are updated with the most current data. • Enter and clean all program data in the database in line with data entry protocols. • Support weekly project, surveillance, and other ad hoc reports. • Maintain the highest standards of data quality by comparing entered data with source documents or re-entering verified data. • Participate in facility quality improvement activities including collecting, summarizing, and analyzing data. • Utilize computerized data entry equipment and file maintenance programs to enter, store and retrieve information and prepare standardized reports. • Routinely update facility QI journals and work with clinical teams to update Audit tools (HEI, CALHIV, Adult and NS). • Assist health care workers in data quality assurance as per SOPs and job aides. • Ensure patient-level data is securely and regularly backed up both onsite and offsite. • Maintain hardcopy and electronic data files and reports in compliance with program regulations. • Receive and handle inquiries and requests related to data needs. • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Medical Records, Computer Science, or related field. • MUST be computer literate with an acceptable minimum speed for data entry. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling medical records. • Experience working with international NGOs, MoH, and public health facilities is an added advantage. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Practical experience working with routine health information systems at facility, district or national level. • Practical knowledge of Uganda Electronic Medical Records (Uganda EMR) and DHIS2 data entry is an added advantage.
