• Attending to hearings, depositions, proceedings, and other types of events that require a written transcript; • Transcribing verbatim proceedings of courts using computerised recording equipment, electronic machines, or stenographic equipment; • Filing and storing shorthand notes and recordings of court sessions; • Availing copies of transcriptions to the courts, legal counsels and any other parties involved; • Filing legible transcripts of records of a court case with the court clerk’s office; and • Maintaining the transcription and other office equipment under his or her care.

• Applicants shall be Ugandan citizens holding a Degree (at least a Second-Class Lower Division) in any of the following disciplines: Secretarial Studies; Business and Office Management; Office and Information Management; • Administrative and Secretarial Science; Management, Administrative and Secretarial Studies; or any other relevant degree in the field of Secretarial Studies from a recognised university or awarding institution.
